GUIDANCE DEPARTMENT MISSION STATEMENT:
Harding University High School ‘s Counseling Office prepares students to succeed globally in the 21st century by providing guidance and support to develop the student as a whole. We are committed to developing a counseling program designed to promote excellence in academic, career and personal/social competencies for all students. We are committed to “every child, every day, for a better tomorrow.”

- Every student has the right to be treated equally, with dignity and respect.
- Every student’s success is contingent upon a team effort in the educational process. This includes, but is not limited to, the student, parent, teacher and counselor.
- The school counseling program is the foundation for school success.
- Every student must have access to a full-time, state-certified, master’s degree level school counselor to deliver the counseling program.
- All stakeholders must strive for continuous improvement in order to be successful in today’s global society.
